Terms of Use / उपयोग की शर्तें

Effective: 11 October 2026. By accessing or using KBKB, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Notice, Community Rules and Safety guidance. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into the arrangements you make through KBKB. A user posting or accepting work is responsible for ensuring that the work, age requirements, licences, permissions and working conditions are lawful.

No employment or agency relationship

KBKB does not employ, hire, supervise, direct, manage or control workers or requesters. No worker is an employee, servant, partner, agent or representative of KBKB merely because they use the platform. No requester appoints KBKB as an employer, contractor, staffing agency or labour supplier.

What KBKB is — and is not

हिंदी: KBKB discovery, matching और connection facilitator है. दोनों पक्ष job price तय करते हैं; enabled transaction में payment PayU के माध्यम से process और verify हो सकता है. KBKB employer, bank या escrow provider नहीं है.

Payments, fees and commercial terms

KBKB service fee: 20% of the agreed job price, shown to the worker before the price is accepted. The worker receives the remaining 80%. Users agree the full job price with each other inside KBKB. When payment is enabled for a transaction, the customer is redirected to PayU for checkout. KBKB records only the references and status needed to verify payment and operate the work lifecycle. Never disclose an OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN or bank PIN to another user.

Work may start only after the KBKB server verifies successful payment. After the worker marks the job complete and the customer approves completion, KBKB may initiate the configured worker payout. Payout timing, reversals, chargebacks, refunds, gateway failures, banking availability and statutory deductions remain subject to applicable law and payment/banking rails. KBKB is not a bank or escrow service and does not guarantee settlement merely because a checkout page was shown.

If a payment dispute, suspected fraud or safety issue is reported, KBKB may pause payout or require manual review where technically and legally permitted. Refunds, when due, use the available payment-provider process.

Verification is a signal, not a guarantee

Any verification badge or status means only that the stated check was completed through the method described by KBKB. It is not a guarantee of character, competence, legality, safety, financial reliability or future behaviour. KBKB will not display “KYC Verified”, Aadhaar-verified or equivalent claims until the required lawful verification integration is actually live.

Trust & Safety

• Keep first meetings in a safe, appropriate place where possible.
• Do not share OTPs, bank PINs, card PINs, passwords or unnecessary identity documents.
• Confirm the work scope, price, timing, location and who will attend before starting.
• For home-entry, care, child-related, driving, electrical, medical-adjacent or other higher-risk work, independently check credentials and suitability.
• If you believe there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than relying on KBKB.
• Use the in-product Report function for suspicious, abusive, unlawful or misleading activity.

Community Rules

Users must be truthful, respectful, lawful and transparent. Do not misrepresent identity, skill, availability, price, location, licences, references, work history or verification. Do not harass, discriminate unlawfully, threaten, exploit, stalk, spam, impersonate, manipulate ratings, create deceptive listings or misuse another person’s data.

KBKB may remove content, restrict visibility, pause matching, suspend access or preserve records where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance or investigation.

Prohibited work and listings

Do not post, seek or facilitate work that is unlawful, exploitative, dangerous without required licensing, sexually exploitative, fraudulent, deceptive, discriminatory, connected with trafficking or forced labour, involving illegal drugs or contraband, weapons or violence, unauthorised financial activity, cheating or impersonation, theft, privacy invasion, malware, or any activity that violates another person’s rights.

Child safety: KBKB must never be used to solicit illegal child labour, child exploitation, unsafe child-contact arrangements or any activity prohibited by applicable child-protection law.

External India-wide opportunities

External opportunities must remain visually and technically separate from KBKB-native postings. KBKB may display or link to opportunities only from documented APIs, approved partners or public government datasets. The source should be identified where reasonably available. External counts must not be added to KBKB-native counts, and KBKB does not control or guarantee an external listing merely because it is surfaced.

User content and communication

You remain responsible for information, listings, messages, photos, references and other content you submit. You grant KBKB the limited rights needed to host, process, display, moderate and transmit that content to provide and protect the service. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.

Privacy and data minimisation

KBKB should collect only information reasonably needed for intent understanding, matching, communication, safety and platform operations. Precise location is optional unless a specific future feature clearly requires it. See the separate Privacy Notice for purposes, retention, rights and data-handling details.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KBKB is provided on an “as available” basis. KBKB does not warrant that a listing, match, user, message, verification status, external opportunity or work outcome will be accurate, safe, lawful, available, suitable or successful.

Users decide whether to contact, meet, hire, accept work, travel, enter premises or disclose information. Where KBKB payment is enabled, payment status is verified through the configured PayU integration, but payment verification does not guarantee workmanship, safety, legality, identity or outcome. KBKB is not responsible for poor workmanship, property damage, injury, delay, cancellation or user misconduct except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KBKB will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss, lost profits, loss of opportunity or loss arising from a user-to-user arrangement. Any liability that cannot be excluded will remain subject to applicable mandatory law. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that Indian law does not permit a platform to waive.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, a user is responsible for claims, losses or costs arising from that user’s unlawful conduct, breach of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights or the work arrangement they independently enter into.

Law, complaints and statutory rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any jurisdiction clause ultimately adopted for KBKB will remain subject to mandatory consumer, data-protection and other statutory rights that cannot lawfully be displaced.

Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, intermediary obligations and data-protection obligations may apply depending on KBKB’s features and legal classification. The platform will maintain its policies in line with applicable law rather than representing contractual disclaimers as a substitute for compliance.

Grievance & Contact

In-product: use “Report an issue” for safety, fraud, impersonation, unlawful content or misleading listings.

Operating entity: Koochbhi Private Limited. Grievance / legal contact: use the same formally approved Koochbhi Private Limited grievance officer, legal email, registered address and customer-service contact details. IT must insert the exact currently approved production values from the Koochbhi compliance records; do not invent or retype them from memory.

Changes to these terms

KBKB may update these terms as features, law and risk controls evolve. Material changes should be dated and presented clearly. Continued use after an effective update may constitute acceptance where permitted by law; where fresh consent is legally required, KBKB should obtain it.
